[Vengeance]

I'm on another board where the sigs are usually kind of big and involved and we started having problems with speed and loading stuff. We started doing something with that so that people could still have their big sigs, but not annoy the hell out of us. Anyway, the sigs only show up in the first post a poster makes in a thread. I was just wondering if that was possible to do on this board so I might not feel as bad for having my ticker in there. 

Plus, it's annoying to scroll through sometimes.

As far as I know, that's not a feature that's part of the default SMF install. It may be a mod that's available, though. I'll have to check and see. It doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to accomplish, but going through the code and making it so doesn't really sound like fun right now

You can always disable signatures in your profile.

Well, that's a bit extreme, I think. I think it would be a nice feature to only display signatures the first time a user posts in a thread rather than just disabling them altogether.

I mean individual users can disable them if they're bothersome.  We really don't have a signature problem here, though.  Ironically, I think Vengeance has the biggest signature.

I honestly don't mind her signature. Unless someone else has a problem with it... in which case they can just disable them altogether.
