That's quite alright :-) I'm not quite out of space on my current hard drive right now anyway... almost there, though

You can't pawn off old and busted stuff to me when I still have old and busted stuff I, myself, need to pawn off :-)

i might have the friggin oldest processor out of the group, but here goes:
ATHLON 1 ghz, RADEON 9200 SAMSUNG 48x CD-RW some old nondescript 52x CD-ROM Hercules Gametheater XP with Creative Surround Speakers 512 MB RAM 80gb hd (to run XP and newer games on) 120gb hd (to run 2000 and store my music, older programs that do not like XP, some pirated programs seem to have that issue, the sound recording programs i use in particular).
Im finally upgrading my CPU for christmas this year, and i think as a result, my HL2 will finally run at an amazing speed. WEll, it runs all right at the moment, but i can up my display. THe Hercules is the high point for me. I do some recording on my own (havent been able to hook up with a band), and this thing has a nice big box that sits on my desk that i can plug my guitars 1/4 inch jack directly into. also has extra usb ports, a nice 1/4 jack for headphones, and digital outs. It is not as widely used at the Creative cards, but it gets the job done and suits my individual needs)

Well, if this had been a week ago, I had a standard Athlon 1.4 GHz, so I wasn't really much ahead of you... I just got a new CPU (and inadvertently 4 new HDs)

hey i just figured john and most of his buddies were computer engineering and such majors, theyd probably have newer stuff. my case itself is bout 6 years old, so i usually associate my pc with that even though most of the parts are only a year or two old.

You've upgraded pretty much everything in your computer except for the processor, haven't you, Rolando?

haha, the original cdrom is in there. the original ethernet cards still there. processors still the same too, yeah. The tower itself is original too. so it looks old. its not that bad, but ive built systems for friends that were a hell of a lot better.
