It was announced today that the New Orleans Saints would play their first home game of the year back at the Superdome on September 24, 2006 against the Falcons.  As a football fan, I am so glad to see the team back where they belong.  No more of this talk about moving them somewhere else.  As a person who loves the city of New Orleans, this is a great step in getting the city back to as normal as possible.  Very happy to see this positive step in rebuilding the Gulf Coast.  I think that day, I'll make some shrimp, some jambalaya, and some beignettes.

I don't think it's a good idea. I don't know how anybody can possible play a football game in the Superdome after what happened there.

It's time to get back to the city that was before Katrina.  It really will be a healing process for lots of people, me included.  I remember when the hurricane was coming ashore and I said "the Superdome can handle it".  It didn't and neither did a lot of people.  We still have the aftermath here in the south.  Lots of homeless people.  Lots of people without jobs.  It's a band aid on a huge sore but if you don't apply the band aids, it won't ever get fixed.

Taking the Saints out of New Orleans is not a good idea.  They need to be back there.
