Oh, come on now. Disney isn't THAT bad. Although some of the characters they associated with the drivers was kind of funny. Oompa Loompa as Donald Duck. Fits. Edwards as Goofy. How about some new characters for the drivers? A Junior for, well, you know. He would cuss and spit and say y'all and just be a cracker. Jeffy would just be Prince Charming. Seriously - he could play that part at Disney. Stewart would just be Dopey.
I do have to defend the comments about Disney costing too much. It really doesn't. Check out the prices at your most local theme park. And realize that's 1/4 of what is offered at Disney World. Then tack on the water parks (I know, most Six Flags have them now too), Downtown Disney (sadly, Pleasure Island will be history in a few months), and just the entire resort experience that Disney does so well. Heck, my sister is "going to Disney World" with us for Christmas and she's never crossing a turnstyle into a theme park. She's giving Disney $0. You can actually do that.
And this is very timely. We leave in two hours for the Disney cruise and once we get back next weekend, we're heading to Daytona and the track. Won't be quite the same as the first time when I was a NASCAR almost virgin. And elmono popped the question to vengeance. But Jeffy's car will be there and we won't be stupid this time - we'll actually do the track tour and not just the museum.
See you crazy kids in a week.
