I was nervous the entire race. Once Jimmie Johnson wrecked, I felt more at ease. Unlike last year, this year's champion will be a popular champion.

I hate to say it but Stewart is growing on me.  Haven't read anything yet about the race although I was listening to it on the headphones at that lousy Falcons game.

The winners banquet in New York should be very interesting.  Wonder what Kurt is going to say?  Wonder what Tony will say since everything seems to come out of his mouth.  Just don't have Jay Mohr as an MC.  Anybody but him.  Hell, they should ask Kenny Wallace to host it.  At least then it'll be interesting.  Or Jimmy Spencer.

From what I heard, Kurt Busch is still technically under contract with Roush Racing. He'll go to the banquet representing Roush Racing. His speech will be written by Roush Racing.

So, in other words, he's going to have to smile nice and just pretend to be happy to be there.  I guess he's obligated under his contract to be there.  How awkward.  Wonder if Eva will be there with him.  And if Kyle will say something in his speech for Rookie of the Year.  Too bad Carl Edwards will never get that award.  I'm sure he's grateful for what he's getting but he should be double dipping this year.  Watch us be on the damn cruise when the banquet is held.  When is it this year?

Yeah, if Carl Edwards ran three less races last year, he would have been Rookie of the Year this year. One of these days, he will be champion.
