I didn't get to see all of the broadcast but here are a couple of thoughts.

I'm so glad "Everyone Loves Raymond" is off the air because we've NEVER loved Raymond.  Thank goodness we won't have to put up with Doris Roberts (who I really do like) and Brad Garrett (what's is with the Britany Spears comment) again.

Hallie Berry didn't win.  HaHa!

S. Epatha Merkerson is THE most underappreciated actors out there.  So glad she finally got something for her efforts.  Even if she lost her notes in her boobs.

"Lost" won and I'm glad although I would have been content with "24" just for the uniqueness of each of those series.  Take "The West Wing" and shove it out the Oval Office.

The creme de le creme was Felicity Huffman.  I have always liked her.  From "The Golden Years" (frop, frop, frop - sorry, inside Niklewski joke) to "Sports Night" to "Desperate Housewives".  Her speech was so great.  William H. Macy is one of my favorite actors and he's won so many awards.  He was clearly proud of his wife.  And she of him.

Now - onto this season and hopefull some great shows like last season with "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives".

I take it you don't like The West Wing? Was it nominated for best show or something? I would definitely agree with it winning a few years ago, but the last two seasons or so (after Aaron Sorkin stopped being the main guy behind it) have gone downhill. I watched all the episodes from about March to May or so and thoroughly enjoyed the series. I'm hoping that having Jimmy Smits and Alan Alda on as full-time cast members for at least the first half of the upcoming season will help return it to some of its former glory.

So Lost won? Was that Best Show? It definitely deserves it. Very good show.

Question, since I obviously didn't watch any of the show: was The Shield or any of the actors associated with it nominated for anything? And did it win anything it was nominated for?

I'm looking forward to the premiere of Lost so much. It's this week, isn't it? Can't wait. I'm going to be passing on Desperate Housewives this time around. I got bored of it towards the end of last season and never did watch the last four or five episodes. Not worth it to try to keep up with it again this year: I already watch too many shows and it's going to be hard to watch them all. I gotta pare down to the essentials and DH just isn't one of them.
