Just got this with the newspaper and thought I'd pass on some of the unique things Atlantans think about living here.  Add some for your hometown.

You know you're an Atlantan when:

- You get on the highway to go to the grocery store
- You drive from one end of your subdivision to the other
- You complain about the weather all year long

You can spot the metro Atlanta newcomer when he/she:

- Drives around the entire loop of I285
- Tries to get a driver's license during lunch hour (NOTE:  usually an all day affair IF you get there at 7:30 AM)

What's the best advice to give a newcome in Metro Atlanta?

- Give yourself two hours to get anywhere-at any time of the day
- Georgia 400 is not a NASCAR race, although there are striking similarities with the speeds, cars colliding, and everyone trying to make the pole (SO TRUE!)
- Learn to love your car.  You will be spending a lot of time in it.

Best looking metro Atlanta celebrity?  Julie Roberts (26%) followed by Usher (15%)
Favorite music group from metro Atlanta?  OutKast (29%) followed by Black Crowes (16%)
Atlanta's ultimate pro sports hero?  Wasn't even close - Hank Aaron (48%) with Dale Murphy at 13% in second.
Atlanta's best annual event?  Music Midtwon and the JAC Peachtree Road Race (a marathon) tied at 21%.  The AMS races were a respectable 6%, tied with the Peach Bowl and the tree lighting at Lenox Mall.

Thought that was interesting and a fun poll the AJC did.
