okay, so i was SUPPOSED to start playing some racing game last night that Super told me i had to play. I load it up and its damn gorgeous, even on my not so high end system. i go in to play and my controls are pretty much nonresponsive! so needless to say as pretty as it was, i got frustrated REAL quick...
So instead I fired up my guitar and FruityLoops (its the program i use to create my drum tracks) and set to work about 9pm. 6 hours later.... I finished two complete songs, about 5 tracks each (3 guitar, a bass, and a drum on each). This may not seem like much, but first of all, I havent recorded anything new in almost 2 years (man have i been unproductive), and secondly, those drum tracks take fer friggin ever plotting loops, fills, etc to make it sound like a real drummer. So these might be the two most full sounding actual band tracks ive done so far. I dont have a microphone so I didn't vocals on them or anything yet.
So anyways, I was proud that i finally did something new and if you're interested I can send mp3s through aim or msn to anybody who might have an interest in hearing them, thanks!

haha well, true in most cases. ahhh, i remember the glorious first few days of college before everyone had moved in and clogged up the net... not to mention napster was still free... i downloaded several thousand songs.
in this case, since my website went down when i graduated college, you have to ask me for em and i can send em to you via one of the various messenger programs (aim, yahoo, msn). OR if Super leaves em up on his ftp, they can be available that way.

Those first few weeks of college with Napster were great. So many songs. I got a lot of stuff back then, although I doubt if much of what I currently have is any of those original files from back then. Tiger Rag may be just about the only thing. But yes, I can leave them on my ftp if anyone's interested. Hit me up for connection information. |

Okay, being the silly guy that i am, I have remixed those two songs going for a better effect. The 3rd mix definitely beats the first two as yer more apt to hear the guitars on individual degrees of left, right, and center channels now. In addition, I got a third song done today and hopefully got it all right in the first mix so i dont have to fidget around with them for days again.
