OK - this might be long.  Here's the setup.  Our local easy listening station has free concerts throughout the summer months.  Top name oldies acts.  Usually get about 10,000 people there.  Open air, lawn seating.  Basically, you get there, set up shop and then enjoy the rest of the day.

RichN and I get there and stay there.  Some people will go, set the chairs and blankets and leave for the rest of the day.  Some even go as far as to put up police tape around their little camp so no one infringes.  Whatever but we make sure one of us is set up and present at all times.

Last night was Mickey Dolenz.  For those of you who don't know, he was the lead singer of The Monkees, who were extremely big in the 60s.  Even had Jimi Hendricks open for them.  Anyway, very popular act.  We got there at 4:00 for an 8:00 show.  6:00 was supposed to be the opening act.  Got good seats, spread out some mats in front of our chairs (we took two good friends with us).  All four of us lined up in the chairs with mats in front of us.  Just so we didn't get last minute people blocking our view of the stage.  Sorry, but I'm there 4 hours early, I'm entitled to my piece of land.  Usually not a problem.

We went through two bouts of rainstorms using golf umbrellas and ponchos to keep as dry as possible.  Enjoyed the opening band even though it was delayed.  And then it happened, just like it happens with every other free concert this season.

Right at 7:30 or so, Princess and her whatever that male thing was that was with her shows up and sits next to our friend, Dawn.  Starts complaining right away about all the room we were taking up.  All the mats were soaked anyway from the rain.  Getting closer to 8:00, Princess tells people she doesn't even know that are trying to find a spot that they should just move our stuff and not worry about it.

Now, I know, we could have moved around and everyone could have been happy.  But no one ASKED.  I would have moved my seat forward if ASKED.  Princess actually told Dawn that Dawn was a horrible example to Dawn's 10 year old daughter.  Like Princess knew Dawn.

My pet peeve is that for our favorite groups, we get there extremely early and stake out our place.  We don't leave.  We respect other people (or at least try to).  For The Grass Roots, one of my all time favorite groups, we'll be there (well, I'll be there) by 1:00.  Why should someone who doesn't bother to get there until 8:00 be able to sit in front of my little 5' tall body and block my view?

And the kicker?  The total kicker?  This was in Woodstock which is kinda far out from Atlanta.  We drove over an hour to get there.  Princess didn't know that.  She sneered to Dawn, "this is what you get when you come to the 'country'".  Our friend has a $350K house in Woodstock so I don't know what the hell she was talking about.

So were we out of line to think Princess was a little over the top?

BTW - the concert itself was awesome and, honestly, go see Mickey Dolenz.  Absolutely amazing.  RichN and I saw Davy Jones at Disney in April and Mickey would kick Davy's ass.  Mickey gives a show, not a concert.  Tributes to Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork, Carole King, and Neil Diamond.  All who wrote for the group.

I don't think it's making too much of it. I hate people like that. Absolutely hate them and wish they'd just fall off a cliff or something.

Okay, Princess would have had to get a proctologist to pull her teeth out of her ass because that's how far I would have punched them down her throat if she ever told me that I was a bad example to my kid. That's fighting words right there and what better example for my child then to show her how to skin a bitch?

Grrrrrr. And this is why RichN worries when disnut and I get together. Yup...bail money.

Yeah, I do worry about you guys.  The other thing not mentioned is that this bee-yotch's boytoy looked like a smaller version of Dog, the Bounty Hunter.  So, Dawn and disnut are getting into a fight with this "woman", and all I can envision is this cracker head wanting to fight me.  Turns out his was a pussy and never said a thing.  But, I think Dawn could have taken him.

Men with big muscles have no...you know whats. I have found this to be true in all cases. I'm sure there are exceptions, but when a guy with huge muscles wants to fight just offer to compare....ya know...they'll back down like a wounded puppy every time.
