I think it happened by accident. They joked about being named after a coach or gym teacher or something, Leonard Skinner, and then the name kind of stuck and they just changed it around a bit.
But I'm not sure on that. I just think I remember that from some trivia game once. LOL

HA! Jared Leto, 30 Seconds to Mars, currently on the Taste of Chaos tour coming to a city near you. I loved these guys' first album. The second one is good too, but nowhere near as heavy musically.
Who won the first Grammy for heavy metal performance in 1988?

OMG, I love them so much! And they are coming to this area soon. I'm now officially hating the hobbit because he sucks. And someone better download their first album for me soon. After all, my anniversary is coming up. *hint hint*

Vengeance, just tell elmono to get it from either Super or myself via AIM or something.
Super, you were wrong... That's who SHOULD have won it. That question's still up for grabs... 1988, metal grammy winner.

Oh, I thought Metallica had the distinction of winning that first one.

Mkay, well since no one answered it, I'm gonna answer my own and throw up a new question. The answer was Jethro Tull, a band most well-known for the incorporation of a flute player... not so metal.
Um, which performer from NJ penned an album entitled "Nebraska"?
