Hey y'all, I just got done with KOTOR II (i dedicated about 5 hours a day the past 2 weeks to that game), and was lookin for something else to fill the void temporarily.
Now i've got tons of games i still havent played yet (dating years back), so i started sifting through disks, and found Alien vs. Preadator 2.  Not a very high quality game in terms of graphics or story (its 4 years old), but damn, at 1230am with all the lights in the house off, and the sound cranked, i don't know that i've played a genuinely more hairraising scary game.  You can hear em comin down the hall thanks to the everominous spacemarine tracking device, warning you of impending doom, and then BAM! they're on you, pesky bugs.  I picked this up for 5 bucks years ago thinking i would one day play it, and even if i NEVER pick it up again after tonight, it was well worth it for me.
How about you guys? either an incredibly cheap game well worth it or the scariest game you've played.

I've never played it. I am an Alien fan but when that game came out, my computer at the time didn't have the capabilities to run a first-person shooter very well so I never got it

you know mine didnt either when i bought it, and it was just a herky jerky mess, so i got pissed off and relegated to the forgotten games bin of my computer stuff.  being as i dont have a job right now, i said what the hey... and im finally gettin my money out of it.  The game's neat because you can play as a space marine, a predator, or an alien, so three diff stories/perspectives/games essentially.  kinda neat, though not the best game in the world, though they arent the best movies in the world either haha.

I just got the CSI game for the PC not long ago and it was cheap. I think it was 5 bucks or 7 bucks. It was so worth it. I enjoyed it, but not enough for it to be worth it. The happy surprise came with Marlie, my seven year old. She loves it!

I don't mean the game is for a seven year old, but she loves forensic stuff and tells me what she's going to do on the game and why. She is awesome with blood and DNA and how it's used to identify criminals from victims and such. She's also really using her logic skills and that's fun to see.

Scariest game? For me I'd have to say it was Resident Evil. Any of them. I think I've played all, but Code Veronica and 4. There's another one that I didn't play much of just because the graphics were so bad that it hurt.  Smiley

Well, that was either the original (non-remake) Resident Evil or Resident Evil 3 (althought Resident Evil 2 has the same graphics as RE3...)

F.E.A.R. is probably #1 for me.  You'll need a pretty beefy machine to run it, though.

I can now add Resident Evil 4 to that list since we got the el cheapo version of it with the Player's Choice pricing
