gots to say, its a beaut.  And yet, it has not fixed any of what i thought were the annoying features on the PS2, namely the power switch is still an old school flipper on the BACK of the machine.

One thing I like seeing on the next gen consoles is the wireless controllers. I love the Wavebird for Gamecube. Wireless out of the box for the next generation stuff is going to be nice.

true that.  Though the controllers do look funky as you pointed out to me.  the grips seem like they're just extensions, but the more i look at them, the more i agree with you john.  They just seem kinda awkward.  They look like my Gravis gamepad for my pc, but it doesnt have analog sticks on it.  The sticks on the ps3 might be odd with those grips, but ah well.  my other query was you put the dvd or game in, and it takes it in like a car cd player, BUT i dont see an eject button?
