So I was watching ESPN's Stump the Schwab, where three contestants answer sports trivia in an attempt to get more points than ESPN's top researcher, The Schwab.

Anyway, there was one guy on there last night and they asked him a question about Lou Holtz. It was something to the effect of "At what two schools was Lou Holtz chosen the AP coach of the year?" This guy answered Notre Dame (of course, that was easy) and South Carolina. The friggin' chickens! Yeah, right. Tell me, which of these seasons warrants national coach of the year: 0-11, 8-4, 9-3 (the two best coot football seasons ever... ha), 5-7, 5-7, 6-5. I'd say none. Even when they were 9-3, they were still like the 4th-best team in their own conference. No way that would ever deserve coach of the year. Probably not even SEC coach of the year, although that's debatable because 9-3 is as good as it's ever going to get in Columbia.

I actually laughed out loud when the guy answered South Carolina. It was so funny. btw, I think the other half of the answer was Arkansas.
