Repeated head trauma can cause brain damage

10 million emails per day? That's just crazy.

416,000 emails per hour
6944 emails per minute
115 emails per second

I don't think I've sent 115 emails in my life. Okay, I probably have, but that's a lot of email. Ridiculous.

I hope everyone on the jury has an email account.  Valid laws or not, making $750,000/mo off of spam deserves some time in the slammer.

I could understand if a person was legitimately making $750/month, but there's only a few professions where that can be done legally. Spam and spyware should be made felonies, in my opinion, punishable by at least 5-10 years.

Being as something like 2/3 of all email out there is spam right now, can you imagine the bandwidth/router load overhead that'll be freed by putting and end to all this crap?  Jail and fines, dial-up only for the rest of your life, no question.

2/3? Really? But I guess it kind of makes sense. My dad gets like 8-10 unsolicited emails a day. I'm lucky. I get very little. He thinks it has something to do with how common his name is. But the only difference between his address and mine is that his has a dot and mine has a dash.

Yeah, I get a decent bit, but eventually when I run my own mailserver, I'll just filter it somewhere within the MTA, hehe Cheesy

And, my estimate may have been a bit low:

"Industry estimates say the percentage of all email flowing along the Internet that is junk is from 60 to 80 percent. ", http://www.concentric.com/cnccommunityjunk.php

60 to 80... that's incredible.

That's it?  Man, for me like 99/100 of mail is spam.  If it weren't for spam filters, I'd be screwed.

(note that the 4 in the inbox just slipped by the filter).

I still can't believe you get as much spam as you do. I'd just change my email address if I were you.

Wow, that is a lot of spam. When it starts getting like that, I get a new e-mail address

I think Nathan likes the spam. From time to time, I'll get an IM from him with some bizarro email subject in it. Every time, it's like "wtf mate"
