Apparently the approval went out to open up the oil reserves in Alaska. Now we get to see the tree hugger protests

I don't know what I think yet. There WILL be a lot of environmental disruption, but I don't know what that exactly means. It's not just the area being worked, it's everything between there and where it has to go to get shipped. That's a lot of land.
I also don't think we're that desperate for oil yet... kinda thing it's more valuable in the ground right now.

I can't wait for companies like Honda to perfect that hydrogen engine. Then we can say goodbye to the Middle East

A hydrogen engine would be great.

As a huge environmentalist, I have to say that I'd rather have the oil in this country go for use in this country and not have to rely on any foreign stuff. I'm sick and tired of paying $2/gallon when we have the resources available. Why the hell does America feel the need to bolster every other country's economy when ours needs help right now? Open up the oil lines, let freedom ring.

The problem with the reserves in Alaska is they're on protected land in a national park. That's why the tree huggers are going to come out in full force.
There are already cars with hydrogen engines for sale. Honda released them in very limited quantities last year.
