First of all... Chuck was renewed!!! WOOT!!! Unfortunately it's only for 13 episodes and they're being forced to make budget cuts aka goodbye one of the writers, goodbye one of the actors, and goodbye bigger roles for the Buy More people. I'm guessing Morgan and Ana won't be on the show next season.

Anyways, Fox is the first one to release its schedule... Bones, House, Lie to Me, Fringe, Dollhouse, 'Til Death, and So You Think You Can Dance return. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been officially canceled (can we at least get a TV-movie to tie up the loose ends?), along with Prison Break and King of the Hill. Brothers, Glee, and The Cleveland Show (starring Cleveland from Family Guy) are new shows. Past Life, Human Target, and Sons of Tucson will be new mid-season shows, joining the mid-season shows of 24 and American Idol.

However... Fox will be releasing Prison Break: The Final Break on DVD and Blu-ray on July 21, which is an all new adventure set after the series finale of Prison Break so it's not technically dead yet. So... give us an SCC movie then...

Son of a... Chuck won't be appearing until mid-season 2010. And My Name Is Earl was canceled. Stupid NBC. However, ABC and Fox have shown interest in picking up My Name Is Earl. Medium was also canceled but CBS is showing interest in that show. Friday Night Lights, despite not being on the list, was renewed for two more season but won't show up until summer of 2010.

Even though The Unit and Without a Trace were must sees for me, I'm not that upset they were canceled.  They both basically ran their course.  I never watched Without a Trace until I was unemployed with nothing else to do and the reruns (syndication or whatever term is used these days) would come on TNT at 1:00.  And I should have known the show was going to be canceled because what is the death of any show (besides moving to Fridays)?  Introducing a baby.

I am somewhat upset about The Unusuals being canceled because it was exactly what its title said - unusual.  The characters were quirky, from the guy who has a terminal brain tumor to his partner who thinks he's destined to die at the age of 42 (which he is now) so he goes around wearing a bullet-proof vest all the time to the former baseball player turned detective who owns a restaurant and lives in the back room to the cop who reinvented himself after he robbed an armor car at gunpoint.  But it all worked.  ABC just didn't give it enough press or a chance to get an audience.  Too bad on that one.

ABC sure does like quirky shows. Oh, and The Unit was not canceled due to ratings, CBS said it was doing well. It was canceled because it cost too much per episode. The same with Without a Trace.

The only thing I watch on The CW is Supernatural and next season, according to the creator, will be its last. And, yes, there is Melrose Place added to the schedule. The Beautiful Life and Vampire Diaries are also new CW shows. Parental Discretion Advised will debut midseason. Everybody Hates Chris, The Game, Reaper, and Privileged have been canceled.

I liked Reaper and I"m sorry to see it go.  One of the brightest spots on that show was Tyler Labine as the main character's best friend, Sock.  But the good news is that Labine will be getting his own TV show so at least he'll remain employed.  And the woman who played the main character's girlfriend is Big Ben's real life girlfriend.

We started to watch the new 90210 but it got old real fast. I'm willing to give the new Melrose Place a chance but if it goes downhill and gets juvenile as quickly as 90210 did, it'll be a short visit.

I mainly watched the pilot of 90210 for nostalgia but didn't go further than that since it stunk.
