Yup, Yahoo fragged GeoCities. Brings back the wonderful memories of the wild wild west of the 90s internet, back when us nerds prowled the vast expanses of the untapped potential of a phenomenon that has now taken over everything. Heck, I don't even remember what it was like not having the internet. John and I have told each other we may not have even stayed in touch after moving if it weren't for the internet.

True dat!  I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have kept in touch with John either, as I'm really bad about ever writing letters or bothering to call folks.  Also, i'm pretty sure I know and talk to Chris a lot more now that he's in OH than I ever did when we lived mere miles away and went to the same school.

I don't think we even had any classes together. Also amazing that John and I never had any classes together, either, in all four years of high school.

Chris, we never had a class together after Mrs. Allen in 6th grade. Rolando and I of course had classes together all the time with the band stuff.

I haven't been to a GeoCities site in years but I do remember making them for the old Buzz sites and stuff. I remember Angelfire, too.

I bet geocities.com has gotten more traffic in the last day or so since they announced they were shutting down than they have in the last year, heh.

I never had a site on Angelfire or Tripod, it was always GeoCities and my highly visited The Guide to Star Trek Ships site. I wish I had saved that site for nostalgia.

Hehehe, Mrs. Allen was awesome. I remember she would always curse herself for sitting us close to each other. We got into so much trouble in that class. Heh.
