Fox and the makers of Prison Break have decided this season will be the last season. It's not being cancelled due to poor ratings or anything but is ending because, and I agree with them, there's not much else they can do. I remember reading when Prison Break first started it was originally going to last only three seasons at the most so getting a fourth season is a bonus to me. I knew this would come soon and am happy to enjoy the four seasons of Prison Break. I remember seeing the original previews for this show and wondering what the heck this stupid show was and how they could do a show based on breaking out of prison. So, out of curiousity I started watching it and was instantly hooked and now it's become a pop culture phenomenon, especially with Maumee native Robert Knepper's portrayal of T-Bag.

So here's to you, Prison Break, for a wonderful four seasons of entertainment, bowing out at the same time as another four season favorite Battlestar Galactica.

Rich is a fan of Prison Break as well (not me at all).  I mentioned this to him yesterday and he said he has absolutely no problem with a show ended as long as the viewers know ahead of time that it's ending and aren't left in a lurch.  Being left in the dark about characters has become way too frequent lately.  I'm hoping the relatively new trend of announcing shows last seasons will continue.  Lost has done that quite well and even Desperate Housewives has hinted a total closure at some point.  I'm still pouting about how Las Vegas ended.  With a "To Be Continued" and a big cliffhanger.  Never to be resolved.  No more of that please.

They also announced Battlestar Galactica's finale before season four started. There are definately some shows that cannot go on forever like Law & Order and CSI so it's understandable when they end. Not cancelled, just ended. Then you have shows like Firefly... *shakes fist in anger* <Kirk>FFFFOOOOOXXXXXX!!!</Kirk>
