This came as a shock to me. I didn't even know he had cancer.

*John* knows?  I seem to remember a certain someone about 15 years ago insisting we HAD to watch ER and not Chicago Hope.  All because Michael Crichton was behind ER and despite the critical acclaim Chicago Hope was getting.

Have to admit that certain someone was correct.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday. Didn't even know his health was failing.

And yes, I remember the stack of Michael Crichton books you kept in your desk in 6th grade and how you stacked them all up on the corner of your desk every single day.
