It's weird that my kids will never know of a world pre-9/11 and they'll learn about it in history books. Marlie was only 3 when it happened.

I think about that, too, with our children. Too close to it for it to be only a footnote, but far enough away that it won't touch them like it touched us. It's just a way of life to them. I hope eventually they'll learn to live in a world without the constant climate of fear and that they'll discover it's not a good idea to run a country based on that fear.
