The cartoon strip Non Sequitur did a whole week long thing on how you can make up any word to mean a swear word and then say that made up word in public without fear of getting into trouble.  I guess they were referring to "frak" in the strip without really mentioning that particular word.  Other words you can use are "friggin'", "freaking", and "frok".

And you can say "poop" with no problems but "shit" brings on a fraking boatload of poop on you.

"What is obscene material?"  "I'll know it when I see it."
