Hey guys as you may or may not know, Super and I have been known to be large Metallica fans over the years.  Their new albums supposed to drop Sep. 12 and the first single from it "The Day That Never Comes" was released today.  You can find it on their Myspace page, their album page www.missionmetallica.com, and on youtube.

It's the fourth track off the forthcoming album "Death Magnetic", and true to older Met albums such as Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice For All, that means its a balad.  It's a 7.5 minute long song and teh first 4 minutes are pretty slow and kind of repetitive.  The last 3.5 minutes are pretty riproaring though and it's safe to say SOLOS ARE BACK!  It may not be a classic album, but its sounding way better than St. Anger.

WOOHOO!!

After St. Anger, I'm sure anything Metallica does now would be better.

I've really mellowed out a lot and Metallica is heavier than most of what I listen to nowadays. I was digging the first half of the song quite a bit but the second half isn't my thing so much anymore.

I've read that The Day That Never Comes is the most mellow song on the new album, though, so that bodes well for metalheads.
