Repeated head trauma can cause brain damage

RULES:

You can't choose 24 or The Simpsons Smiley Or if you do, you have to choose something else along with it. If we didn't remove 24 and The Simpsons from the voting, everyone would say that and the topic would be boring.

My answer? The Shield.

Two shows I cannot live without during the first runs:

"Lost" and "Third Watch".

After that, "Law & Order: SVU" and "Law & Order".

And "Airline" - that show cracks me up.

Lost is the best new show this season. There are several good shows that are in their first season this year. Lost is the best of the bunch, though. I look forward to Wednesdays every week to get my fix.

I forgot about "Desparate Housewives".  Another "can't miss" show.  The guys on that show are just as great as the women.  Don't let the title trick you.

I'm kind of undecided about Desperate Housewives. When it first premiered, I was a much bigger fan than I am now. I dunno what about just.... not bored me, but made me lose some interest. I still watch it every week, but Sunday night on ABC is more about Boston Legal for me now. Maybe I just like the comedic element of Boston Legal.

I'm beginning to seriously spooge over "Drawn Together".

Yeah, I love CSI and all that, but Drawn Together just cracks me up.

Hmmm, I seem to see a pattern with elmono's favorites.  Especially at the end.  NASCAR anywhere is what he should have said.  Mine would be:

Walker, Texas Ranger (laugh all you want now)
Third Watch
Lost
Navy, NCIS (did they drop the Navy part?)
ER
Millionaire
Jeopardy

Not necessarily in any order, but Lost is probably at the top if I had to choose.

- Not laughing here at Walker. Walker's good stuff.
- Third Watch is good. I watched it a bunch last year or the year before on reruns on A&E and enjoyed it. I started again last week after I watched the Third Watch/Medical Investigation 2-part story. I'm out of the loop... what happened to Bosco?
- Lost is great. I love it.
- NCIS is one of my favorites as well. And yes, the Navy part has been dropped. It's just NCIS now.

Jason Wiles had a movie part so they wrote him out of the script for the first half of the season.  The writers knew about it and came up with the blown up thing.  Now he has to live with the scar forever.

Bosco is awesome.  He's almost on my laminated list.

Yeah, Over There is good stuff. I'm liking it quite a bit. Unfortunately, I see it as more of a miniseries than an actual show, sort of like Band of Brothers. By that logic, if you can count Over There, I can count BoB, which is absolutely amazing and everyone should watch that.

In the last episode, I was thinking during the entire episode, "Is that Mark-Paul Gosselaar?"

And it was. Man, has he changed. And I'm not talking from Saved By the Bell, I'm talking about changed even from NYPD Blue. He looks like he's been working out or something, definately much more mature looking. He played a cameraman in the last episode but I'm not giving away any more information for those who haven't watched it.

I thought he looked familiar during the first part of the episode, but I never really got a good look at his face until he had his helmet off after talking to Smoke in the tent (again, to not give it away) and then I was like "He looks like Mark-Paul Gosselaar..." so I went and looked it up and sure enough... I didn't see him on NYPD Blue, but there's enough even now to tell that it's him.

I found out it was him at the end when they show the credits during the theme. Over There is an odd show when it comes to that. It simply opens with a teaser, then shows the title, then gets right into the show. It's not until the end of the show when the theme song plays and the credits start up, all the while still going on with the show.

I think it's cool, though. And the theme is really good. I've almost found a WAV recorder and recorded the theme song as it's going at the end. There's never any voices or sound over it; just the theme, so it'd be easy to do.

This last episode they talked over the song.

I watched the premiere of Prison Break today (taped it from yesterday). It might take a few episodes. The last show I decided to stick around for a few episodes to see if it it got better was 24... and we all know how that turned out.

I'm just started my download of Prison Break and I may watch that tonight. Dunno yet. That's actually another show that I'm wondering how it will be made into a series rather than just a miniseries.
