OK - we had to change to Dish Network.  Our cable company was not going to exist after June 15th.  Plus, we had to do something with the 2/19/09 thing coming.

So we went to Dish and we're happy with it except for the damn DVRs!  Yes, we like them for many reasons.  We can come home from trivia in the middle of a program that we had set up to record and watch the whole thing right away.  I don't have to worry about tape running out.  And since we have two DVRs, I can set things up on one DVR and it'll record on the second one but we can access it from either DVR.

But we can't record three things at once.  And yes, that happens.  And I'm still trying to figure out the whole "what is going to record and can I do this?"

And for the very first time, I'm home to do all the experiments.  So *I'm* becoming the expert on the damn things.  Rich will have to ask *me* to set up recordings!  We are in soooooo much trouble with that one.

The whole not being able to record three things at once is just something you'll have to get used to. Either download or watch online the episode you couldn't record.

We've watched shows online.  We're not downloading.  You know that!

But - with my experiments, we should be fine.  We can record two shows (I *still* want to say tape) and watch something else we've already recorded.

AND ONE VCR STILL WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I am proud to say that I set the DVRs up correctly last night and recorded everything we needed to.  Rich gets his DVR lesson tonight.  He wants to record all the "Walker, Texas Ranger" episodes he can.
