I'm not even going to abbreviate it.  WHAT THE FUCK?!!!!!!!!!

Skee ball?  Do those idiots realize that KIDS can't even really throw that ball up into the holes?  Skee ball is the only reason we ever went to Chuck E. Cheese before their silly ass ban of us because we don't have kids.  I never even thought about it being considered "gambling" until some asshole from South Carolina did.

What's next?  Can't play pin the tail on the donkey at birthday parties anymore so you can get your party favors?  You bought something for admission into that party and you leave with something that you earned playing games.  Gambling!!!! Gambling!!!!

Skee Ball isn't gambling since it does require some skill to do and isn't rigged like most gambling games are. I read some more in the thread I got that article from and South Carolina is a pretty screwed up state, including archaic blue laws in effect.

Oh, and the hypocrisy of South Carolina...

John needs to chime in on this since he used to live in that backwards state.

Yep. Lottery.  And the fireworks that are just a mile or two across the state line from Georgia (all fireworks in this state are illegal).  And what about the discounted cigarettes?

But kids can't play skee ball.  Why not set an age limit on it?  Who can play the lottery?  Why can't those people who play the lottery be able to play skee ball?  Can kids buy tobacco products?  So have an age limit for skee ball!

Skee ball.  Throwing a wooden ball up a ramp into circles.  And *MY GOSH!* having fun in order to get a freaking plastic soldier or something.

We have a ton of credits here form Chuck E. Cheese that we can never cash in because *OH MY GOSH WE DON'T HAVE CHILDREN!!!!!*

Yeah, this one pisses me off.

I don't claim South Carolina. My only attachment to the state is Clemson and the family that lives there.

All I know is South Carolina will definately be crossed off the list for job opportunities with all the nonsense going on there...
