The SciFi Channel has approved the Battlestar Galactica prequel "Caprica." They'll make a two-hour movie like they did with BSG and if it does well, they'll go ahead with a full season. And, yes, Ronald D. Moore will still be involved.
The basic plot is said to be about the Adamas and the Greystone 50 years before the events of BSG. It'll focus on the tension between the two families as they compete with each other in advances in robotics, which will eventually lead to the creation of the Cylons.
