So, Chandra was working a 1-10 shift last night. A huge 7-alarm fire broke out in Fostoria where she works... and on the same block as the Review Times building. Guess who was running around doing reporting things? Yup, crazy Chandra. She is alright, to begin with. She was actually not in Fostoria when the fire started. Of course, I didn't know that when the news broke out on the TV and I saw the Review Times building right across from the fire.

At one point, she decided to go past the police tape, sneak up to a fire truck, crawl around it, and then take a picture of an exploding window.

While I am sorry for the fire and the possessions that people lost (and the one cat that is missing - maybe three cats dead?), I am so proud of my daughter-in-law.  This is what reporting is all about.  Keeping your head in an emergency and fairly reproting on it.  Of course, that stunt about going around the police tape wasn't that smart but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

And BTW - Grandpa will definitely want a copy of the Review Times with her byline on the front page.

Today she got to wear a hard hat and go inside the police tape with permission to take photos of the building after the fire.
