For those of you who don't know, that's the new title for Bond 22. I figured there was a Casino Royale thread so there has to be a Quantum thread. The title is taken from For Your Eyes Only, which was a short story collection that included the story "Quantum of Solace."

Get ready for some revenge... Bond style.

I have the feeling this is going to be the best Bond movie ever. Mix in revenge with James Bond and it's bound for glory. Well, maybe, considering the two revenge-themed Bond movies were Diamonds Are Forever and Licence to Kill. Unless you count GoldenEye as a revenge-themed Bond movie.

Jack White and Alicia Keys are doing the theme for the movie, which will be called "Another Way to Die." Thank goodness they didn't go with Amy Whinehouse or Beyonce like rumored. But Keys and White are a very odd combination but I can't wait to hear it.

Yes, I'm replying to this post!

If you haven't seen the last episode of 90210 yet, this won't be a spoiler.  But there is a reference to the kids going to see "the new Bond movie" that a character's dad got an advance copy of.  Of course, it's Quantum of Solace.

So Rich and I watch the episode and then later Rich is reading the newspaper.  He starts to laugh a bit and says "you know, there really IS a new James Bond movie coming out!"  He thought the whole plot line on 90210 was just a made up thing.

I really have to refrain myself from calling him an idiot but carefully explained everything to him as if he was really from outer space (which at that point, I thought maybe he was).

My husband is definitely not up to speed on pop culture.

Wow... he should know better than that. There is ALWAYS a new James Bond movie coming out or being made (outside the legal wranglings between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye and the four years between Die Another Day and Casino Royale).

I really don't know what to think about this Bond theme. It's very different and it is definately a Jack White song, his style just oozes all over it. Just not sure if it's a good Bond song.

It might grow on me, it might not. It also depends on how well the opening credits goes with the music.
