This just blows my mind! WTF?! Seriously?! SERIOUSLY?! Drug related apparently. This is just sad. So who are the two other big deaths going to be now? And I wonder what's going to happened with The Dark Knight now. LINKEDIT: Forgot Brad Renfro died recently so there's going to be one more death... wait, didn't someone from the Brady Bunch die recently?

Well Dark Knight's done filming as far as I know.
What surprised me is that he was found dead in an apt owned by Mary-Kate Olsen... hmmmmmn.

Yeah, I saw The Dark Knight was in post-production. Kind of morbid his last movie role is a very psychotic Joker.
If those pills turn out to be her pills... I will seek out and destroy her.

They are saying his death was completely accidental and not a suicide. CNN and other sources said he was really affected by his performance as the Joker and he had trouble sleeping after playing in the film I'm Not There.

I was downstairs getting ready to go to trivia and Rich came downstairs and said he was reading an article out on one of his boards that Heath Ledger died. I think people heard my 'WHAT?!!!" over in Alabama. I immediately asked him how old this Heath Ledger was, thinking it couldn't have been the actor. When he said "28", I ran upstairs to read the article. Then I called elmono but he already knew.
This one really shook me. Heath Ledger was on his way UP, not down. He also didn't seem to be the type to abuse drugs which is appears he didn't. We'll never know how large his talent would have proved itself to be.
Brad Renfro did die, Heath Ledger now died and the one from the Brady Bunch was Sam the Butcher. Oh - Susanne Pleshette also died this week.

My reaction to his death was "NO WAY!" which prompty caused Mitchell to start crying. Marlie, of course, was confused by my interest in the story.

From IMDb: Police investigating the death of actor Heath Ledger have found a rolled-up $20 bill in his apartment, suggesting the late actor was a hard drug user. The Brokeback Mountain star, 28, was found dead in the bedroom of his New York home on Tuesday afternoon. The $20 bill will now be tested by scientists, although police said no drug residue was visible on it and refused to comment on speculation that the bill was used to snort cocaine. An autopsy carried out on Wednesday failed to reveal how Ledger died, although police believe his death is drug-related as sleeping pills were found strewn around his apartment. No illegal drugs were found. Officials will now have to wait for the results of a series of toxicology tests which may hold further clues into what caused the 28-year-old's death. A spokesman for the medical examiner assigned to the case insists it may take up to 10 days to conclude their investigation. Meanwhile, Australian Ledger's body has been released to a New York funeral home.
Uh... do they forget who really owned the apartment? Yeah... exactly...
Another thing, I wonder how many people are wondering why this is taking so long when on CSI it takes just a few hours...

But if you watch Law & Order, the coroner there always gives the detectives her preliminary findings and says she will have her final report in a week or so. I think CSI glosses over that point.
I just went through our house. If either one of us died, I'm sure drugs would be suspected. I forgot we had some Percaset and Lortan from previous injuries still in a bedroom drawer. Plus, between the two of us, we have three more prescription drugs that we take on a daily basis. Those three aren't habit forming but I know that I could overdose on my daily stuff.

"Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine," says the report. "We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medication". That's from the official report.
From the family - "While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage."
My question - Why in the hell did doctors EVER prescribe anything that was even remotely lethal even in low dosages? I guess because he was bicoastal and didn't have one doctor, this could be overlooked. But when you go to a doctor, don't you tell him/her of every single medication you are on? I even had to tell about when I was on birth control pills!!
Jeez - I even know that I can't take a Tums because I'm on Dilatin and it could cause a reaction.
Webmd.com - look it up.

I believe they said he ordered the pills without a prescription. Still, it's an extremely sad loss.
