Our presidential primary isn't until February 5th but I've already voted.  In Georgia, you don't need any reason for sending in an absentee ballot.  All you need to do is request one by mail, then fill it out when it is sent to you (they have to check to see if you are a registered voter), and then send it back in.  You have to sign the outside of the provided envelope as an oath.

So, my vote for the primary is on its way to my county seat.  There was only one other issue on the ballot and I cast my vote for that one too.

This is much better than going down to our polling place (a church) and trying to find a parking space on election day.

It was the same way in Bellevue NE, you either voted at Bellevue West or at Golden Hills Church

So that's how they get the agnostics and atheists to not vote... it all makes sense.

They can't have the voting places in schools here.  The kids might actually learn something and then our literacy level will go up.  We won't know what to do if that ever happens.

Most agnostics and athiests don't vote anyways... nor do they make educated decisions really.  I don't have a problem with them, its just most are too busy whining about everything than actually worrying about changing anything (or the extreme ones who are anarchists).

There are smart agnostics and athiests who actually vote and who actually vote informed, its just that that percentage is even LOWER than the ridiculously low percentage of the rest of the public who votes.

I'm agnostic and I vote, and according to Rolando that means I'm smart! Yay! Smiley

My in-laws were here for Saturday night.  My brother-in-law was reding the newspaper and commented on the recent primaries that wre held.  He mentiond what percentage my candidate received.  Of course, I had NOT told anyone except Rich who my candidate is.  My mother-in-law siad "OH, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT VOTE FOR *fill in the blank*.  HE'S EVIL!!!"  I had to really contain myself because my ballot was sitting not five feet from her with the circle filled out nicely for that candidate she thinks is "evil".  And her opinion is based on what her sister told her.

Sigh - I had to tell my mother-in-law (who I love) that we had to agree to disagree on the current presidency.  I guess I'll have to do that until 2012 at least.
