I'm sure you'll find out how much revnues NASCAR generates.

Another reason that wasn't givenin the article is that football tickets have gone up and up and up in the past couple of years. Take the Falcons. Who suck and have sucked ever since we've been here. But yet our season tickets kept rising in price until they are no longer affordable to the common fan. It shouldn't cost close to $70 for one person to attend a game. A typical family of four would spend just $360 on tickets. The cheapest parking around the Dome is $30 for a lot far enough away. The ones right across the street from the Dome are $60 and are privately owned and operated. Plus the cost of food inside the Dome is outrageous. It's so bad that none of us even considered more than one beer after tailgating. Most of the times, we had none becuse no one wanted to spend $8/beer. Sof drinks and hot dogs aren't any better. So if you want to take your family to a game, you are looking at $400. For a team that sucks.
Compare that to the Braves. They have a package for Lexus seats (nice seats under cover on a secured level) for $99. That is for four people, four soft drinks, four hot dogs, one program, and free parking in a lot that is close to Turner Field and run by the Braves. And the Braves are competitive every year.
Let's compare - $400 for your family to see a sucky football team or $99 to see a competitive baseball team. Plus, the Braves have general admission seats available for about $10. I know which one I'd choose.
