It's totally nerve wracking for me personally because I loved that mall area. It was quiet and peaceful while surrounded by Kanas City's Westport. Or friend, Ray, joined in a political rally down there once and we quietly started taking count of how much money we had between the three of us in case we had to bail the man out. Let all the gun debates begin anew. Can't blame a loophole in the Viriginia gun policy on this one.

To be honest, despite all these shootings, I'm still in favor of being able to own guns. Just make the requirements stricter. I think I read something hear about the vast differences between owning a gun in Michigan and owning one in Ohio. You have to go through all sorts of hurdles to get a gun in Michigan while in Ohio you just have to pass the regular federal hurdle of the criminal record check. They just need to make a stricter federal gun law where you have to be cleared of a criminal record, you need to spend some hours at a firing range, you need to be cleared by some sort of law enforcement or military official, and you need to attend a class about owning a gun.

What the fuck, ANOTHER shooting just a few minutes ago in Jacksonville! That's fucking four headline-making shootings in like two weeks. What the crap is wrong with people? Sources now are saying that there aren't any dead and no life-threatening injuries. I guess we'll have to count our blessings where we can at this rate.

I'd love to see a national law for gun ownership as well. And for driver's license registration too. The current and former military members know what a pain in the ass it is to transfer to another base and have to immediately comply with new rules. Not only for active duty person but for his/her entire family. However, you get into all that state's rights issues. For example, if it ever became a national law for manditory seat belt useage in all private vehicles, you'd have a delimma here in Georgia. Seat belts are not manditory in pick up trucks. Not just the use but seat belts themselves. And we can also carry concealed weapons in our cars. The problem is going to be with states who have more liberal laws than others. Very difficult to take away a priviledge already enjoyed by people in a state. I kind of enjoyed living in Pennsylvania while growing up. I never knew what I was missing. Buying alcohol in a grocery store? Unheard of. Not having to have your car thouroughly inspected not once but twice a year? No way. Being able to have your store open on a Sunday? Madness.

I thought every state allowed concealed weapons to be carried in cars, you just have to declare you have it in your car if a cop pulls you over.
I am for the national ID, though
