Had an incident today that gave me the idea to start this up.
So, here I am, driving in my new car. This old lady who was going slow on the road finally turns so I'm like "Yay!" and zoom up to the proper speed. Only to be slammed with rocks. Yes, rocks. This idiot in a pickup truck had a pile of decent-sized rocks in the bed of his truck. These rocks are the kind you'd see on a gravel road or a landscaping project. A little bigger than an acorn. Well, this idiot didn't have the rocks covered so they're flying all over the place. People behind me probably though I was an idiot because I was swerving to avoid the rocks. One hit very hard on my car, making a loud thud sound. Luckily, I didn't see any damage on my car when I got home, I'm assuming it hit the underside of my car. Another friggin massive rock bounces on the road, bounces off the hood of my car, and slams into my windshield. Again, luckily nothing was dented and my windshield is not cracked. Now the police are looking for this idiot because I called them with his plate number (thank you cell phones with notepads) and the make and model of his truck.

Shit, I'd have gotten off the road and let her get down the road a bit before getting back on. Or did it happen too fast?

It was a guy. No, the first one happened when I said I went up to catch up with the traffic because that old lady was going slow. I didn't know he was spewing rocks. The second time happened when the road turned into two lanes. I was in one lane, he was in the other, and I was trying to get past him. Then he decided to switch lanes so I went to switch lanes... but he didn't switch lanes because he thought I was still in the other lane. The window one came when he finally switched lanes.

Down here, the dump trucks usually have a sign on the back that says they are not responsible for any damage caused by objects projected out of the beds of the trucks. I don't think we have a law that says the beds need to be covered. Probably not. The problem with that is from the driver's seat of a car following one of the trucks, you can't see how full the bed of the truck is.
I wouldn't count on anything being done about it. If they do find the truck, there's no proof on who was driving it.

It wasn't a dump truck, it was a Ford F-150

See me driving on a road with a 50 mph speed limit (going 60 of course ). See idiot going the opposite direction turning left right in front of me. See behind me: no cars whatsoever. See me yelling and wondering what the heck he's in such a rush for to have to save the one or two seconds it would have taken to wait for me to drive by.
