Good luck on your interview today. Hopefully you get that job and get out of oppressive Hilton Head.

Well, I'm back. I survived. I think I did well and hopefully I'll know something soon. I was very very impressed with the company and everything they have to offer and do. I really wanted to work here after hearing the little bit about it from my friend, now I REALLY want to work here.

Cool!  Even more good vibes your way.

You might not want this job though.  You'll be within sniffing distance of a certain Mouse and I'd bug the shit out of you.

I'll have to place duct tape in strategic locations so as to maximize arm hair pulling.

Congrats!!!

Now, a Florida Annual Pass to Disney World is $361 which is a better bargain if you plan to be there more than six days out of a year.  Disney World is 54 miles away west on Highway 192.  Highway 192 will take you right into Disney World although I have a very good shortcut that will save you the hassle of driving that Irlo Bronson Highway in Kissimmee.  There's a stop light at least very block.  We'll be there at least for Memorial Day and Labor Day so we can show you around.  I think I hear Expedition Everest calling your name.

OK, I'm done - seriously, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Thanks, all. I'm pretty excited. Not sure when I'll be down there to start just yet - I'll have to look at the actual offer paperwork when I get back to my apartment and see if a start date is specified or if it's flexible. We'll see. I may not be down there for Memorial Day but it's possible depending on how quickly things move. I'm pretty stoked, though.

Figures my mom would have the exact route from Melbourne to Disney already planned out...

Would you expect anything less?  Pretty scary when I can give directions around there better than the locals can.

Super - you will definitely be able to see the shuttle launches from the beach.  There are a lot of other launches that you will be able to see as well.

I"m sure you'll love the area.  I wasn't impressed with Cocoa Beach but this is south of there.  Other than Miami (which you should avoid at all costs), Florida is really a great state to explore.

I've read that you can see the shuttle launches anywhere in the county. My friend lives a few miles north of Melbourne, closer to Canaveral, and he said he can definitely see the launches from his house and he's got a friend who can hear and feel them where he lives. Should be pretty sweet, especially if they do a night launch.

I think we went to Cocoa Beach and Ron Jon when we were at Disney with the band after our sophomore year. That sounds right, doesn't it, Rolando?

The trip to Disney where you rode Star Tours 11 times and never once set foot on the Tower of Terror? (I don't think Rock n Roller Coaster was built then because you would have been on there in a heartbeat thanks to Aerosmith)

That was that trip, yes. And no, the Aerosmith ride wasn't built yet. This was back in... summer of '98, I think it was. Damn, it's been almost 10 years. Jeez.

Yeah, I also set foot in Star Wars that many times, and never the Tower of Terror.  I don't do real roller coasters.

It's not a roller coaster, it's a free drop ride with the best special effects ever seen on an attraction. You rarely get the same experience twice since it's completely random

Not to hijack this thread but, yes, Twilight Zone is a mind-f*** experience.  Let me put it to you this way, Twilight Zone is an attraction I can't do anymore with the broken neck.  But I go all the way through it right up until you board the elevators for the drop.  Then I leave.  Because the stuff up until that part is the mind-f*** stuff.  You have got to see the library with the Rod Serling show just once.  It's incredible.

As far as real roller coasters,  I hate them too.  I've done Rock N Roller Coaster and LOVED it.  My favorite was Expedition Everest, though.  The only other roller coasters at Disney are Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  I can see not doing Space Mountain but I would have to say you're a pussy if you don't do Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.  Oh - there is one more - Goofy's Barnstormer in Toontown Fair.  But you might not fit into the cars since it's a kiddie one.  That might be right up your alley.

Oh - and Mission:Space.  Oh - that's a GREAT ONE!  Not a roller coaster.

Space Mountain is a very tame roller coaster
