Well, the Persians thought they were the best just like anybody else, and they DID invade Greece a few times, don't know why they're complaining. Also, the craziest of their warriors were actually from the Far East. They may have been the Persian army, but most of it was slaves from other places. You think they'd be happy cuz it shows a time when there was actually some kind of glory in Iran. Yeesh.
oh, and #$@% them, the movie was damn good.

I have yet to see it because I was too tired to see the employee sneaks and I asked for this week off so I can't get passes to see it. So next week perhaps

It's on the newest album, Straight Outta Lynwood. Sounds like a RATM parody, though I think it just sounds like a Rage song.

Back on topic: do they really think the average American is going to see any kind of connection between the Persians in the movie and Iranians? I know I didn't. The thought never even crossed my mind. The Spartans seemed more bloodthirsty to me anyway.

yeah, though lots of media sources have been saying this is political, and trying to make connections to the Global War on Terror.

Yeah, they, like accountants, can make the numbers come out anyway they want.
Today's headline on the front of the AJC - "JetBlue Cancels 215 Flights". First thought. "Wow, that airline really is in trouble". Open up the paper and buried on page three or four is "JetBlue Cancels 215 Flights DUE TO STORMS". Whatever sells those papers or gets people to click on a headline on the internet. Pisses me off and makes me not trust the one thing that is so protected - freedom of the press. I'd like a little honest reporting, thank you very much.

Same thing happens for those little snippets of movie reviews, especially on bad movies. I always joke about it and try to make up with the actual quote they pulled the snippet from.

Hehe, I know what you mean.
"This movie is really great!" for me to poop on!
I had high hopes that this would be "An awesome movie!", but unfortunately, it turned out to be terrible.
I find it "Hilarious!" that movie theaters even show this piece of garbage.

I finally saw 300, BTW, in digital. It's so nice not having the sound fade in and out and no annoying jumps in the film because of splices. In fact, the picture was so clear, I could almost see all the tiny little holes in the screen used for the speakers behind the screen.
And I never thought extreme violence could be so... what's a good word for it?... beautiful...

My friend liked this Movie enough to stay in line for an hour at 1am cst to see it a 4th time.
Infact he is paying for his three roomates & my self.(Annihalus' 'Ursor'-Trav, "Manny6fingers"-Manny, "Ernaken"-Jay (Champion of the Grand Melee event for Spring War '07) and my self 'Loial'-Craig).
As for the Iranians...they smell good, like cartoons and never get angry.

About the Iranians being mad, BTW, watching the movie I never once thought of Persia = Iran. They had a wide variety of people in that movie, from. They did have people wearing turbans, but they also had guys wearing Japanese-looking masks. They had gypsy-type people. People make a big deal out of everything nowadays.
As Zach Snyder, the guy who directed the movie, said, "I just wanted to make the graphic novel into a movie."
Oh, and the idiot Iranian president saying the movie made the Persians look violent. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Did you not see the gorram beginning? Did you not see how violent the Spartans are to their kids to make them tougher? They beat them and send them out into the wild... BY THEMSELVES! Good lord...
