Hey its me again... i have another map, but this time am hoping to actually release this map... some time

anyway, the map is in beta form, and i am just releasing it in QPSP. Not final compile. I would like for you guys to give me tips on the actual map, and where to put certain items, barrels, where to fix brush areas, etc!


Your help would be GREATLY appreciated, and i hope to here from s8n on this one Tongue

You posted the wrong file.  You need to post the bsp file.  Also, even if you just want people to look at it, you should still do a full compile so they can review the lighting and spot potential issues with vis/r_speeds.

Man, its a bit bare, ADD SOME BARRALS OR CRATES, and to put more lights as "The Puzzle Man"(Jitspoe).Needs more stuff and like snipering points.      V

You could put them in the middle (where they meet) and in the bases. also you could add another route another way round.

Ah, but couldn't. The map is already too big. I can go any farther out and any direction, for i would be going outside of the boundary.

But i will try to incorporate more "sniping" areas and more barrels.

To be honest, I think you should scrap this map and work on something else.  It looks like you're learning a bit, but...

a) You need to scale things down a bit.  Simply making the map bigger isn't going to add more gameplay.  It just means people have to travel further to reach the action.  I also think you're going to have a lot of trouble getting the map to compile with that much surface area.
b) The map needs more paths.  more than half the map is one path.  Even with as large as it is, people could still camp in one spot and spray -- eventually opponents will have to pass through that point.  There should always be at least two ways to reach the flag, and the map should never bottle neck down to one point.
c) Everything is big and boxy.  You need to work on making your walls look more natural.
