Good lord, it's so cold they closed schools today. And the only reason I even checked was because it happened once when I lived in Nebraska.

We were wondering if you guys were getting the cold weather. I know it's not that bad here but we're getting below freezing at night. I haven't unpacked the cold weather gear from Nebraska yet so we're not quite acclimatized yet. Bet you my dad is freezing his ass off in North Florida. Anything below 70 degrees and he pulls out the long johns.

THe ice storm we had a few weeks back, we were out putting blankets on the horses. WHile my daughter and I were out, we were accumulating ice on our heads and shoulders. THe horse's maines already had icycles forming on them.

Vengeance is going to rip you a new one. And global warming is the wrong term. It's actually called global climate change but the warming name caught on. Global warming does not mean everything warms up. Things also get colder. A lot of the temperatures are controled by ocean currents. And when the temperature of the oceans changes, it changes the temperatures elsewhere, whether making it warmer or colder. "Global warming" also tends to precede an ice age. And, no, I did not get this from The Day After Tomorrow... |

Additionally the Earth tends to cycle every 60-70 years through a cold/hot spell. Global Climate Change is a dangerous prospect, but most of what's happening right now is actually a natural phenomenon. The last major one actually coincided with the Great Depression...

Same storm here in Oklahoma and the freakin crap hasn't melted yet!! It got very cold here too I think about +2 with a wind chill of -6 but daaaaaaaam, -6 with a -24 windchill is painful! Betcher hunny kept ya warm though elmono??? |
