When you come out with build 17, will this global login thing work? Like, you can't play unless you login or something? I'm sick of newbies coming into pubs and are telling people they suck when they come in as "noname" or some other stupid name. I really hope it will eliminate that. I'm sorry if I didn't read your thread, I don't have time to search.

i am pretty sure you will still be able to change your nick when the login is implemented or else that would be kinda weird. but it should help cut down on the impersonations and help ban accounts and shit like that.

You have 3 or 4 nicks you choose that you can use. I think you can change them, but they all connect to your account.

It depends on the server setting. Right now there are 3 settings:

- Global login disabled
- Global login required for registered names (this will be the default)
- Global login required for all names

There's also a setting to limit name changing to reduce lag and stress on the login server. The default setting is 3 (you can change your name 3 times while connected to a server). You have to use a name from your login account or a non-registered name (if the server is on the second setting) if you change names, though. You can also add/remove clan tags.
