Yes, as some of you may know I am building a computer. Today I got a 20 inch widescreen. I hooked it up to my current computer(normally has 19inch) and I opened dp as a fast little way to see what it is like. First thing I noticed is it looked like I changed my fov by a huge amount!! Is there any way to get it looking like it did without a widescreen?

This is one reason I don't like widescreens. They screw up the resolution for most games you play, if you play in fullscreen.
There's a widesceen resolution, I'm pretty sure. Can't you manually set the width and height of paintball using various switches and such?

Sup Bix. I've been using my widescreen since around christmas. It's a 19inch, and when I first opened up dp with it I was like WHOA, but I changed my screen resolution before hand.
1440 by 900 pixels is a good for dp. Nothing really changes but your width of dp. You should get used to it in a couple of hours.

Well, I mean I'm not going to go any higher but 1440x900 won't change a lot of dp's view.
BIX, we are talking about the wrong thing. I was talking about the computers resolution, not dp's
My dp's is 1280x960

I've already discussed this with jitspoe. The next release will have widescreen resolutions supported, and will allow your gun to still be visible with a larger fov (which you'd want to increase your fov with widescreen). Its just a waiting game now because I have a widescreen monitor, i just run DP in a window. On the plus side, I can read irc while playing, and also leave TS visible so I can see who exactly is broadcasting. Somewhat usefull I guess.

I've gotten use to everything being stretched, I think its because I use a fov of 120.

1600x1015
Are you sure this is what your resolution is, and not 1680x1050? I've never seen that resolution before, but I can add it.

I play at fov120 and whatever resolution my computer can handle. Performance>quality. I'm also used to the stretched look, and I rather like my gun not blocking the bottom corner of the hud too. I can't hardly handle looking at fov90 now- it feels super weird.
