Hi, that is the BETA 1 of my map : Base Attack !! The map isn't finished there will be tunnels into the bridges boxes to lead to the flag. I know there is texture alignment to do in both of flag base. Some texture will change (Ex. The bridges. ) There will be also other way to reach the flag cuz now the only way is to do a double jump. (See the demo). For sure i will add objects on the floor. I post some pics too. Please comment on that map. And dont be too rude Tongue It's my first map... Tell me improvements to do also. That beta is like a rough draft of the final project. I added light today. Note: I made that map ine one day ... May have little bugs .... Sorry

Well... there's not really a lot to it yet.  You have it fully compiled, which is good.  The tiles look really funky in the base.  A really low quality jpeg image was the first thing I thought of.  Looks like you cloned the brush and had the texture locked.  To put a bunch of lights on the side of something, you don't need to make a brush for each light.  They will tile automatically.  I also noticed you had an overlapping brush in the doorway (see screenshot).

I guess just keep moving forward with it.  There's not a whole lot to comment on yet.  Also be sure to give your map a beta extension like baseattack_b1.bsp.

Well, most maps what are posted here as someones first map or 1 of the first maps look really small and pointless, no offence. That map could be a middle part for and it. Fact that you did this jump adds alot in my opinion, shows that you are interested in making some advanced match maps with some techical maneuvers built in. So take this map as a middle part of your future map Smiley.

Thanks i didn't thought about this....
I had to fix today a big bug... it was nearly impossible to do the double jumb on the red side. THe bridge was to near of the middle jump. How do you like my lights Huh

The lights aren't bad.  They get the job done, but they don't really stand out above the lights in any other map, either

You need to scale the texture down on that small crate.  I also don't like the idea of requiring trick jumps in order to access critical items like flags.  A lot of people can't do those jumps, and if you didn't make the hill jump, you're going to be behind on getting the flag anyway.  maybe throw in a ladder on the other side.

Open the 'surface properties' menu (press 's') the one i circled in red changes the x axis, and the green one changes the y axis. Press the + and - buttons to change it, or type in a value. obviously, making the numbers larger will scale it up and making them smaller will scale it down. So if you want to make the texture twice as large, i guess you would set both of them to "2".  Also, I'm pretty sure someone whose name begins with a Z and ends with orchenhimer is going to come up with a faster way, or find something i did wrong  Smiley so don't bother reading my post. But actually do. Because this way does work.

Here is the beta 3 but the map name is b2 ..... im dumb sometimes....
Sorry it tokk me 1 week for a beta... I had many serious family problems..... But now should be ok and i should be mapping more ......
Please feel free to add comments .....

P.S Should i add a basement ... ?

Wow ! Thanx Jitspoe. I really like you way to show the bugs. It's cool with a demo. I'll fix the bugs for sure. Never thought my map had so many bugs... I'll be aware for my next maps ... Thanks again. Ill add a underground way and tunnels and rooms on the sides.
