Yeah, there's a link on google today that says "view the commercials" basically. It's just a link to a youtube search.

Yup, that's how I knew about it

First... AMS?  Is somebody or was somebody a Guard officer?  That's neat.  We had a C-141 flyover at OTS... now phased out, it was one of the last 4 in the inventory.

Second... I thought it was nice to have the silence for the Florida deaths... but thought, wouldn't it have been more appropriate for the military flyover, moment of silence, and National Anthem for those who have lost their lives or who are currently serving in the current theatres of war.

Yes, AMS is for Atlanta Motor Speedway.  Every NASCAR race has a flyover of some sort.

And I thought there would be something about the military forces as well.  Maybe it's just because the NASCAR season is "starting" this weekend, but they have a benediction before every race and almost all of them offer a prayer to the troops.

After watching NASCAR for the past few years, I did find the preshow ceremonies lacking in some ways.  I'm an atheist.  But let's get the prayer and the recognition out there for the people who are defending the right to even have this Super Bowl.

*off the patriotic soap box now*.

Heh, we should probably get this back on topic Smiley

It was so funny last night. Marlie fell asleep during the trophy presentation and she was adamant she wasn't asleep after I woke her up. So Vengeance asked her who the MVP was and she said the guy with the moustache. Vengeance and I looked at for a moment and said no. Then she kept insisting it was him and I told her he was the coach and Manning got it... the tall, skinny, white boy... but she kept insisting it was the short guy with the moustache.

Of course, then it devolved into yelling at her because she gets bitchy when she's tired and she thinks she knows everything at this point and then starts whining Smiley

In Marlie's defense (sort of on topic), she could have been confused because Tony Dungy did hoist the Super Bowl trophy.  She could have mistaken that for the MVP.  And speaking of the MVP, anyone else besides us doesn't think Peyton should have gotten it?  I think it was by default because no one really shined on the field.  It was a "let's give it to the winning quarterback" trophy.

I was hoping for a co-MVP between Manning and Addai

And, no, she wasn't confused because of that because it was obvious when the announcers said Peyton Manning, the MVP, and brought him forth.

Mostly agreed.  Manning orchestrated and did his thing, but I think Rhodes really carried a lot of weight.  It was kind of a three-way with Manning/Rhodes/Addai.  Like Peyton said, it was a real team victory and with that, you really have to give it to the team's leader which is unquestionably him.
