Would paying you $100+ make it worth your time to see this start back up? If it is enough, then do me a favor and double the amount and we will have a deal. I strongly feel this helps the games growth it deserves nothing less.
- Peronsally I don't think the clan scene can handle it right now. There is a lack of stability and sportsmanship.
- League administration is too tedious and time consuming. Too much objection to rule enforcing and I have not found the necessary balance to make the most people happy. I hate having to lockdown global chat.
- My servers are garbage and can't load maps half the time.
- I can't find anyone competant enough to convert existing maps to standardized marker placement using .ent files. This creates tons of additional tedious work for me.
- Previous website was build on a framework created by Blitz and myself when we sucked at programming. It has too many drawbacks and administration and customization requires too much overhead with uncertain results.
- The clan scene's expectation in a league versus their behavioural maturity creates a lot of additional work for such a small scene to begin with. (Requiring refs for each match, ensuring that refs don't abuse their access, handling situations when refs abuse their access, handling unnecessary situations to begin with).
- Now that I'm involved with eR33t again, I can just imagine how much unnecessary e-beef is going to occur on IRC, DP forums and PBCup forums.
- Cheating is rampant among the newbies as such, I'm sure it wouldn't take very long to talk to the right person to find an undetected cheat. It would take all of 5 minutes for me to copy/paste/compile an undetectable cheat from one of the many cheaterforums these days. Don't expect any sort of client side anticheat module to pick up these cheats until next year at the earliest.
- I'm expecting hardware-ids to be circumvented easily making catching the double clanners and cheaters the same cat-and-mouse game it is right now.
- I've got too many obligations to family, career and drinking to keep doing 90% of everything PBCup related.
- The Europeans would have to have their own league which will cause major uproar with the 25 UK and DE players that are 100x better than the rest of the European scene. This needs to be done because it's creating extra hassle in almost all matches each week. Sorting out ping differences and 6-10hr timezone differences are a nightmare for operation.
- I miss gibb

If you wanna split this or quote me and open this up to discussion in a different thread go ahead. Otherwise catch me on IRC when I'm not away or PM on here.
Edit: Hah, thought I was going offtopic in a different thread, didn't realize this was the PBcup one. You can still PM me though
