1. make sure that port 27910 UDP is port forwarded to your private ip address of your server in your router config.
2. check to see if you can connect to your server with another pc on your private network.
3. if you can connect to your server with another pc  on your network USING YOUR PRIVATE IP ADDRESS ( ie.. 192.168.0.1), then the problem is a router/routing issue.
4. if you cant connect to your server on your local network with another pc, then something is wrong with your server config. YOU CAN NOT TEST THIS BY CONNECTING TO YOUR SERVER ON THE SAME PC THAT YOUR SERVER IS RUNNING ON.
5. if you think your routing is set up correctly, learn to use ttcp.exe ( this tool can be found on the internet - free). You will need another pc at someone elses house. Essentialyl this tool will test to see if the path to your server on that port from anotehr pc is forwarded and not blocked anywhere.  ttcp.exe runs as a listener on your server and as a transmitter on another pc.  Great tool.

It's important to forward 27910 UDP instead of TCP.

Does your router have a provision for a DMZ?  if so, edit your DMZ config on the router so that all requests go to your server. So enter the server ip address ( the private one) in to the DMZ config.

Thanks Knack, but I've done all of that. I figured out my problem - My wireless is connect to a wired. The wired controls internet and wireless distributes it. The whole time i was trying off my wireless Sad
But now my next step is to get a hold of my brother, he knows about my routers. Now hes profession IS Electronics/electricity.

Maybe I'm just paranoid but I've never really felt good about the whole concept of the DMZ. Isn't that just like sticking your computer out on the internet without the firewall of the router? I mean, I get that it's supposed to help with router issues but I don't ever connect any of my machines to anything but a router.

Yes you are correct sir.  I suggestthis as a testign measure and by no means a permanent solution.

PAT and NAT is always the way to go.

Oh, okay. Yeah, I suppose that would be a good thing to do when testing. I've never had any trouble with port forwarding, though, so I've never made it that far, I suppose.

I'm not an expert but I would say that the answer is "maybe." Unless he's sprung for a static IP from his ISP, he may have a different one. Then again, he may not if the lease hasn't expired.

as long as he has a static ip i will be the same, with the exception of the port.
