Hahaha you dirty countryfied old man!!  Disnut!!! Run like hell hun!!! He's got his speedo on!!

You're NOT going to find an online type job like you're requesting because there are age minimums for hiring employees.

Your age will definately work against you but if you have friends who know and trust your abilities, one of them is bound to have a PC in the family that needs attention.

Machines that are running slow because of too many unecessary processes running at the same time, parasites, viruses, overloaded History and Temp folders, and also OS, Hardware, and software updates or full OS installations ect...

I enjoy doing this on the side myself and it might be a good learning experience for you.

Just a thought...

Another aspect that you might look in to is tutoring.  There are TONS of people, young and old, that would pay to have someone walk them through, or teach them, in a one on one session, to learn to sue a specific product.

That, my friend, plus the fact that everyone believes the misconception that the young whippersnapers know EVERYTHING about pc's , will get you a job.

(p.s.  I will not tell you HOW many tiems I've had to undo what a professed expert has done to a pc, either young or old... )

You probably used the spell check, so you can't talk.

Well, what is your profession?
-Computer science
-Programming

Is what I'm going for.

Boozie,

If I may suggest...go find work outside, that you dont like.

This will build character, teach humility and pay for your computer. Worked for me. Plus this chicks dug the responsible rugged young man physique and the desperate housewives....well 'm-e-e-e-o-o-o--w" is all that I will say. The computer I bought when I was your age was a AppleIIe and cost a lot more than I thought. I had to work for a whole year for various neighbors that my parents trusted. These jobs included a lawnmower / gardener / pool boy / street cleaner and lastly the worst was the dreaded 'gofor' job. Go for this and go get that. I lived 2 1/2 miles from any store. Thank god I had my DiamondBack BMX.

Let's see, when I was your age, maybe a bit younger, I was repairing Pinball machines. When I was 15, I was a Horologist, and certified at that! Right after high school, I suffered a huge bout of burn out, so I became a Park Ranger in the Sierra Mountains. Now, well since 1985, I've been in some sort of telecom or IT related business.

Spell check is built right into the forums as well as Firefox.  Nothing stops you from using it, too.

Even with that, though, KnacK misspelled Whoreologist.

Programming/scripts

I can figure stuff out fairly quick.

Boozie,

Too vague. Not a lot wouldn't spark my intrest.

Wasn't intended for you. Smiley

yeah, that was intended for me.

I think it would be really hard to find a job at 13, depending on the state you're in.  Most won't let you work below 14... I know because I tried myself.  Even then, most opportunities for teenagers are fairly low on the food chain, i.e. even though I could build computers, the only job I could get was as a school janitor at 14.  I wish you the best of luck in trying to find something fun as a first job.
