Changes to The Chase

NASCAR has announced more drivers will be able to be in the Chase and more points will be awarded to race winners. The number of drivers and points are yet to be announced. The official announcement will be sometime between January 22 and 26. I wonder if the more drivers in the Chase has anything to do with Dodge complaining or Toyota paying NASCAR some money...

Well, the chase is kind of anticlimatic for some fans of drivers who don't get in. Sure, Tony Stewart went out and raced extremely hard those last ten races and pissed me off (kidding, Chris) but even he admitted that the only way he could race like that was because the weight of the chase was gone.
They need something like we have for our fantasy football league. Our league "stops" when the playoffs begin and our last match is a Pro Bowl between our two conferences with the winning team getting $10/each. For the playoffs, in order to keep everyone interested, we have the PISSOFF. I forget what it stands for but each owner comes up with a roster made up of players from the playoff teams. We buy the players and have a salary cap of $250. Dollar amounts are based on the seeding of the teams. Once your player's team is eliminated, he's gone from your roster. Person with the most points win. At stake is our draft positions for the next year.
NASCAR needs something for the non chase teams to do for the last ten races.
And we've been bitching about extra points for the winner for quite a while. Glad to see that one finally go through.
