I can understand some people find negatives with this. Online tournaments are probably great fun, especially if you have a competitive streak in you. There are a few in Paintball 2, but the only regular one is PB Cup which is a clan based game. Get stuck without a clan and sadly you cannot compete, but there is a ladder based system for solo players which pretty much ties up that loose end.

That's where Paintball 2 comes in. For me a real plus is that there are no stats, no accounts and certainly no form of currency.
I've got a feeling this'll be changing sometime soon.  Except I don't expect people to be selling their accounts on eBay or anything Wink

Overall I'm still not digging the writing style.  But it's good to see you shying away from using words like noob and other pub-server gestures.  Also, I think you should drop the personal approach to these and write them in third person.  Wouldn't hurt to pass along a draft to someone in the community first to get their feedback before posting it.

Keep it up though Tongue

I am a PB god. My mentality about this game is nothing what you describe viciouz. You guys take this game a little too seriously and get upset if I say I own you or call you a newby. You act like it's going to end your life. I think I am decent at the game, considering I am better than almost every 5+ year player.

Oh and, I don't do good "once" as you said, I do good just about every single match I play. So I don't get that part, oh, maybe you're talking about pub where I'm not trying my heart out like you.

I figured you guys would know all about PBCup, so I just dropped the name and left it at that. And yes, I do know the last one was six months ago, although I took a break from PB2 over the summer just before it kicked off.

As do I, this article was something of a protest against it. I'm not quite sure where to take this series at the moment, although switching to third person might help. You may find updates to it slow down a bit as I write ones in slightly different styles and then do not post the ones I'm not happy with. Since you are one of the few people who posted sensibly on this topic it is a bit hard to tell whether or not it's just your personal taste or whether most Paintballers have a similar opinion. Skater seemed to like it just the way it was, for example (see earlier post).
