Hello all,

Is there any way to make Paintball2 behave properly under Linux? The Linux version seems to use a software renderer.

TIA

Paintball2 doesn't have a software renderer anymore, unless you mean software implementation of OpenGL.  Are you using the version listed on the files page or the QuDos installer?

Try this one: http://www.arena-zone.com/paintball2_build016-2_full.run (right-click, save as, make it executble and run it).

It's a little more updated with some Linux tweaks.

How do I run it? I'm getting:
bash: ./paintball2_build016-2_full: Permission denied

Forgive me if I'm doing anything wrong, I'm not very experienced with Linux.

Try this:

chmod 777 paintball2_build016-2_full
./paintball2_build016-2_full

That worked, only it's now saying the MD5 checksums are different.
