I hate CNN. I also think the timing was very bad for this execution, but understandable. Saddam was using the publicity of the trial to fuel the flames of unrest in Iraq. They wanted it stopped.
But hanging him right away made it seem like the new government was scared of him.
I don't know. I don't think it was the best decision to be made, but I can see their dilemma.
