Repeated head trauma can cause brain damage

I tried installing it on my old machine a few weeks ago but it kept failing. I tried installing Windows and it failed there, too, so I figured it had to be hardware. Ended up being a CD-RW that I put in recently. Took that out and Windows installed fine. Going to give Edgy another go when I get back to my apartment.

In my case, it doesn't matter. I've got a machine that I can blow away and not affect anything else on my network or my productivity. I've never dual-booted a machine before, so I think I'm going to try that when I get back to my apartment.

I actually got the idea last night of maybe triple-booting into Ubuntu, XP, and Vista. Play around in Ubuntu and Vista and have a test system for XP where I can install stuff and not care if it screws up. Maybe even have it as a secondary gaming rig should my main gaming rig have any issues, heaven forbid. It's got an 80GB drive in it which is more than enough for 3 operating systems.

triple-boot? ha, my machine would have a heart attack. never thought of that though.

only 80gig? ive got that on my laptop, filled it up (accidentally) twice in the last 1 or 2 months. never get a program called "free dvd styler", it sucks.

Well, that's just my old, play around with machine. I've got like 800GB across my machines.

Laptop: 30GB
Desktop/Gaming rig: 160GB, 60GB
Old gaming rig: 80GB
Server: 40GB, 80GB, 80GB, 300GB

The 80 on the old machine would never have any files stored on it or anything, just the operating systems and programs so it'd be more than enough.
