can anyone help me with my ping, its always over 300 while im playing in a game, and it causes me massive lag alot of the time, can anyone give me some tips on how to decrease it?

I play on alot of different servers, i dont have just one, so i cant answer the first one, i live in good old sunny Queensland, Australia, and i have cable broadband

Sadly Nathan and with much regret this might continue. You live on the other side of the world literally. If intrested look up the cost of hosting servers for the game in Australia.

Otherwise 300 ping is very good for connecting to europe or even north america.

nice to meet u too, unfortunately i like this game but not enough to pay to host a server myself, thats if i had the money, so i guess ill just hang around and see what happens, if it gets tobad ill have to give the game up which i wont like

Good luck. Can you at least play at a 300 ping? From a new players stand point I would like to hear your opinion of the game with such a ping compaired to other games.

yea, i can play, tho at times it will get really laggy, for about 2 mins at a time, and if it gets over 500 or something like that, which it has a few times before, than i get a little pic with a plug and a computer port, and i cant do anything then, until i restart the whole game

The game isn't playable over 500.  That's half a second, plus.  A player with a ping that high will also lag and warp from the perspective of other players, too.

Nathan pardon this but relevent to your delima.

We have a server rule that if you are pinging bad and asked to leave, you must comply or be forced. This is only done in extremely rare circumstances. For instance the warping effect is one of many examples why we and other gaming servers have such rule enforcements.

We first ask them to reconnect after they have checked issues with their machine to see if their ping improves and the warping stops.  THEN after that if they are still high pinged to hell and warping all over the place, we ask them to leave and sometimes we have to boot them.
